We have created a specific summer schedule to give you lots of playing experience against different kinds of competition. This summer will provide you with playing opportunities to MASTER the XTEAM curriculum.
2015-17 SUMMER PACKAGE INCLUDES:
NATIONAL DRAW :: JUNE 23 - 24 :: MARLTON, NJ
ALL STAR EXPRESS :: JULY 20 - 22 :: NEW CASTLE, DE
CASCADE CUP :: JULY 28 - 29 :: SNOHOMISH, WA
ACADEMICS :: Right now it is about understanding + calculating what your cumulative GPA is. Understanding this is critical because as of your Freshman year, your grades are officially on record. Everything in the recruiting process begins with academics. KNOW that lacrosse will NOT get you into a school, your grades will. Get off to a good start and create good habits NOW.
RECRUITING :: XTEAM uses RTRAK (www.recruitingtrak.com) as an accessory to our program. While it is not critical for you to register for this now, we encourage you to take a look, it definitely won't hurt you to join now, so you know the information like the back of your hand when it's game time. Take a look at the QUICK TIPS on RTRAK (http://recruitingtrak.com/sites/default/files/home-members/rtrak-5-page-...) as this is a pretty good guide at what the next few years will look like in the recruiting process.
COLLEGE VISITS :: This summer we will teach you how to do all different kinds of school visits, from a standard admissions tour, to a self guided tour, to touring the school with a college coach. In addition to college visits, college camps are great ways to visit a school and experience the campus. Camps give you an all access pass to what it would be like to attend that school - room in the dorms, eat in the dining hall, use the athletic facilities, play for the coach, work with some of the current players. Choose the camps you attend, based on the kinds of schools you think you are interested in right now. Start writing what you like about each campus, this will help you generate your criteria for a school (size, location, aesthetics, facilities, food, etc.). It is never too early to have a list of colleges, even if that list has 150 schools on it!
