BROOKLYN, NY :: You know when you are about to run a marathon and there are, like, 26.2 miles between you + the finish line? Or, when you are about to fly to Tanzania and there are, like, 26.2 hours between you and Mt. Kilamanjaro? Yeah, well that is kinda how we felt before the summer XTEAM season began.
We knew, as we welcomed our 2011 XTEAM SUMMER membership, that there was so much awesomeness to be experienced between the beginning + the end. We were as right as a 90 degree angle ... as right as 1+1=2 ... as right as left on opposite day. Awesomeness:
XPERIENCE :: WEEKEND 1
We welcome the 2012 group, 2 teams of girls flying in for 5 days of ninja training and lax games. The typical XTEAM fare begins as we get them tired, train them hard + make them write essays. We fill 'em up with Oprah's heart prints + celebrate the life of Rev Nation coach Brooke Genko with a moment of silence. Scharkey (CA - OREGON) went coast to coast with the best play in XTEAM history. And, of course, Chipotle gives us our entire lunch for free. Twice.
LAX INCEPTION :: WEEKEND 2
Worlds collide as the 2013s jump into the mix. This weekend is full of heat + 100 Dunkin' Donut bagels that no one eats. Hee hee.
NATIONAL DRAW PLUS :: WEEKEND 3
Our XTEAM NEXT girls (2014-2016) come to Jersey. Herbert charms the group + the team sees some tough competition by day. Thanks to M&D 2014 BLACK for inspiring us on the field! By night, the girls are starting the talk about college. The weekend is capped off by a visit to 2013 player Elle Hvodzovic's house in Princeton, NJ for a "neighborhood" leg workout. Hugs have the girls nearly missing their flights.

MICHIGAN PLUS :: WEEKEND 4
Who said you can't have a blast in the middle of nowhere? Our NEXT team rocked it on the field + off, winning the Great Lakes Lacrosse Invitational tournament! A boost in confidence also produced a boost in creativity with an amazing number performed by the entire team! And, who can forget them walking in 2s in the airport ... with no coaches telling them to!
COLLEGE VISITS :: Northwestern, Notre Dame
ALL STAR EXPRESS PLUS :: WEEKEND 5
Cancellations, heat + 5000 additional games tested them, but XTEAM kicked butt in the classiest way. 2012 Player/Coach Mackenzie Smith (FL - VANDERBILT) comes in to provide the celebrity + fun factor!
